Lesly Deschler Canossi, b. 1972, lives in Beacon, NY. She works as an artist, printer and photo educator. Lesly is an instructor at the International Center of Photography in New York City and co-owner of Fiber Ink Studio a pigment print and drum scanning studio. She has taught photography for the University of Georgia Studies Abroad in Cortona, Italy, Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and workshops for The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. With her latest work she is at home plunged into an exploration of familial demands, expectations and the delicate nature of the relationships we try so desperately to preserve. Her first book Domestic Negotiations was published in 2014 through ICP EDU. She holds an MFA in Photography and Digital Imaging from Maryland Institute College of Art and a BFA in Photography from Herron School of Art and Design.
